Tony Gill grew up skiing the mammoth peaks of southern Wisconsin before heading to the Beast Coast for college and ultimately to Park City. He’s been around the block in the telemark world, from repeatedly crashing at competitions like the Teva Mountain Games Telemark Big Air and numerous Big Mountain Competitions from Crested Butte to Alaska. He even accidently landed a run that netted him a Sickbird Award at Grand Targhee Big Mountain Telemark Series in 2013. Tony was the Editor-in-Chief at Telemark Skier Magazine for two years and still nets massive paychecks of around $40/month writing about outdoor adventures for Salt Lake Magazine among other publications. In addition to contributing to Telemark Skier’s online content this winter, Tony will represent Bishop in at least one freeheel competition to show folks how to party harder than the guys who actually landed their runs.
