Since 2001, Bishop has offered value to telemark skiers with the original switch kit system. Buy one bomber BMF binding, and use it on your whole quiver of skis. The Bishop BMF Switch Kit allows you to quickly transfer your bindings between multiple pairs of skis. Save your hard earned cash money for Apres. No need to have a pair of bindings for each set of skis.
The BMF-R Switch Kit comes with climbing wires, and the BMF-3 Switch Kit does not. You cannot use climbing wires with the resort oriented BMF-3 binding. These Switch Kits are not compatible with Bishop 2.0 bindings. A 2.0 Switch Kit is available for that binding.

The Bishop Chedi ski is a loyal, hard charging, fun loving all-mountain, quiver-of-one for the Rocky Mountains (and beyond). Designed by tele skiers for tele skiers. This daily driver has an early rise tip, camber underfoot, and a flat tail with "release rocker". We think it is the perfect balance of powder float, stability at speed, and playful performance.
The engineering team here at Bishop partnered with experienced ski designers and builders to combine the best elements of modern ski shape and construction, with our BMF bindings and the freeheel skier in mind: reinforced under foot for tele binding mount, stiffer, flat-ish tail, camber underfoot, and a mid stiff shovel. The early rise tip is not too far back to keep the ski stable at speed and through crud, but there is enough there to float you and prevent the tele tumble in powder. Perfect match for our BMF bindings with a 100mm brake. It will also rip for fixed heel skiers if you don't bend the knee to freeheel... yet.
The Chedi ski is named after Dave's family Bernese mountain dog Chedi. There is a long history behind products named for beloved pets at Bishop. The original Bishop telemark binding designed by Fin Doyle in 2001 was named after his dog, Bishop. Chedi passed away last November from cancer at age 9. She was a loyal friend, loved all things winter, and came on many backcountry adventures with us. Her spirit lives on in this loyal, daily driver, fun loving, all mountain ski.
